Since returning from national lockdown in 2020 we are yet to restart our Junior Church. Instead, we have found that our children prefer to stay in and worship with us. In response to this we are trying out new ways of worshipping together in a way that is inclusive and intergenerational.
We now intentionally plan for all generations to be part of our 9:15am informal worship in both leading and participating.
Children and families are welcome at either our 9:15am or 11:15am worship, please not that they are very different worship styles with 11:15am being more traditional.
St Leonard’s is currently planning the return of our FREE, Fun, Family-friendly Messy Church sessions. Messy Church is a way of being the church for families, providing the opportunity to explore faith through Bible-themed: arts, crafts, stories, songs, and games. This includes a celebration time with a short act of worship. We end the fun with a messy buffet-style meal which usually includes CAKE!
